Accommodation and facilities
Arguably the most popular room is the 50sq metre outside patio, which is covered by a 200 year old grape vine. Here is ample seating for eating; a hammock and other comfortable chairs are also provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped to enable a relaxing holiday.  The old bread oven and charcoal range have been removed and replaced with a large modern oven.  A dishwasher and washing machine are also installed, as well as a range of useful kitchen appliances such as microwave, toaster and juicer (the villa’s gardens boast a lemon tree and four orange trees). There is also a Utility Room which houses a washing machine, iron, ironing board and cleaning equipment.

The lounge is spacious and cool, with a log fireplace for those visitors wishing to enjoy the late autumns or early spring.  Video, CD and mini-disc players are popular with younger visitors, or those wishing to relax indoors.

There are three bedrooms, all are fitted with ceiling fans:

Bedroom 1 This pretty, romantic room has an en-suite bathroom and leads out on to its own private veranda - a magical place in which to make use of the sun-loungers and watch the fire-flies in May or distant boats on their way to Italy.

Bedroom 2 This room has its own balcony and is light and spacious; many visitors wishing to combine their holiday with another family or generation use this room for sleeping four, with the addition of two single beds by prior arrangement.

Bedroom 3 This room has twin beds and shares a large bathroom on the same floor. It is very safe for young children as it is the only bedroom without a balcony; there is also a stair gate fitted to this floor.

The villa is surrounded by a wall, providing an enclosed area for children. A stair gate is fitted to the top floor and a baby alarm is available, with points in every room and the outside seating areas. Air conditioning is available on the top floor.

Linen and towels are provided (not beach towels) and there is a weekly maid service (daily if required, by separate arrangement). Baby pack available on request containing: cot, car-seat, high chair, baby-alarm and pushchair at a rate of £50 per week

There is also local catering for occasional or whole stay cook service, alternatively, there are many excellent fish restaurants and meat tavernas close by, including one in walking distance from the villa.

Not suitable for wheel chairs due to cobblestones and original flagstones.

Beaches
Closest beach is St. Spyridon, 3km – a blue flag, safe, sandy beach – as beautiful to-day as when Gerald Durrell described it in My Family and Other Animals. Corfu has many lovely beaches; those seeking seclusion can find remote coves, only accessible by boat.  Popular beaches, offering tourist facilities such as tavernas or beach barbeques are within easy driving distance.
